Minesweeper is the classic logic puzzle that has been challenging players since the early days of Windows computing. The objective is straightforward: uncover all the safe squares on a grid without clicking on any of the hidden mines. Each revealed square shows a number indicating how many mines are adjacent to it, and using these clues, you deduce which squares are safe and which contain mines.

The game offers multiple difficulty levels. Beginner uses a 9x9 grid with 10 mines, Intermediate a 16x16 grid with 40 mines, and Expert a 30x16 grid with 99 mines. Minesweeper rewards logical deduction over luck. When a revealed number touches exactly the right number of flagged mines, all remaining adjacent squares are guaranteed safe. To choose a grid space, use the left-click button on your mouse. If you hit a bomb, you lose.
The numbers on the board correspond to the quantity of bombs near each square. For example, if a square contains a "3," there are three explosives nearby. The explosives might be above, below, right, left, or diagonal to the square.
Avoid all bombs and uncover all unoccupied spaces to win Minesweeper.
