Getaway Shootout
Getaway Shootout is a wacky two-player physics game where you race against an opponent (human or CPU) to reach the getaway vehicle first. The catch is that your character moves with a hilariously awkward jumping mechanic. You do not run in this game. Instead, you launch yourself forward by alternating between left and right jump buttons, creating a bouncy, unpredictable movement style that turns every race into comedy.
Each level in Getaway Shootout is a vertical or horizontal obstacle course littered with platforms, hazards, and weapon pickups. Grabbing a weapon mid-race lets you shoot, punch, or blast your opponent to slow them down while you bounce ahead. Available weapons include pistols, shotguns, rockets, boxing gloves, and even a jetpack that temporarily gives you controlled flight.
Play Getaway Shootout unblocked instantly in your browser. Player one uses W and E to jump left and right, and R to use weapons. Player two uses I and O to jump, with P for weapons. The deliberately clumsy controls are the entire point. Mastering the rhythm of alternating jumps to build momentum while simultaneously aiming shots at your opponent creates hilarious, skill-rewarding gameplay.
Winning strategies in Getaway Shootout include timing your jumps to ride moving platforms, prioritizing weapon pickups that can knock opponents off-screen, and learning the layout of each level to find shortcuts. The game cycles through multiple maps including rooftops, construction sites, and western towns, each with unique hazards. With its ragdoll physics and chaotic two-player competition, Getaway Shootout consistently produces the kind of unpredictable moments that make party games unforgettable.
